0 The world's largest database for title entries and holdings records of regularly published serials
The ZDB is the world's largest database for titles and ownership data of regularly published serials, i.e. periodicals, newspapers, etc. In addition to the printed works also titles of electronic journals are included.
The ZDB comprises more than 1.2 million titles in all languages from the year 1500 to today and allocates the holdings records of approximately 4,300 German libraries to these titles. The ZDB does not index any periodical articles.
The governing body of the ZDB is the  Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, the system operator is the  Deutsche Ntionalbibliothek.
