Catalogue of Microforms of the Department of Manuscripts
The  "Verzeichnis der Mikroformen in der Handschriftenabteilung der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek" (Catalogue of microforms of the Department of Manuscripts of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek) lists all available manuscripts, incunabula and corresponding aids microfilmed collectively by commercial suppliers and held in the Department of Manuscripts and Early Printed Books. The collections primarily comprise British and Irish holdings (i. a. of many college libraries in Cambridge and Oxford as well as some London libraries); the medieval manuscripts of the Anhaltinische Landesbuecherei Dessau (Regional Library of Dessau, Saxony-Anhalt) and of the University Library of Munich are also available in microform.
A major part of the funds for the purchase of the materials within the framework of the programme of special collection fields of the  Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft  (German Research Foundation) was provided by the BSB itself.
The catalogue contains the basic shelfmarks of the reference library, followed by the numbers of the individual microfilms. The collections (not the individual manuscripts) are also catalogued in the OPAC of the BSB. Readers can order the individual films at the service desk of the Reading Room of the Department of Manuscripts and Early Printed Books by means of a yellow borrowing strip (in general, items are delivered immediately).
