The training course gives an overview of the specialised portal "historicum.net" of the Specialised Information Service (Fachinformationsdienst; FID) for Historical Studies (responsible bodies: Bayerische Staatsbibliothek and Deutsches Museum). The portal is the point of entry to the research service "historicumSEARCH", to the "Bibliography of German History", to FID licenses and further FID-related services of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek and discipline-oriented portals.

In addition, the Specialised Information Service provides scholars with services for electronic publishing, for example in the form of the regional-historically oriented review platform "recensio.regio".
