Air-raid protection day at the station of Holzkirchen
The Reichsluftschutzbund, the national air-raid protection league, was founded already in April 1933. The preparation of the population for a possibly coming war was started. In a large-scale air-raid protection drill, dummy bombs were placed in different locations in Munich, in this case at the station of Holzkirchen. In a simulated attack, "enemy aircraft" dropped almost 8,000 paper bombs, as reported in the Munich city chronicle.
