A makeshift newspaper stall – also including English-language magazines
In 1945 and 1946, the American military government issued licenses to the two large Munich newspapers Süddeutsche Zeitung and Münchner Merkur. Up to 1949, 27 more licenses followed for further newspapers. The overall print run amounted to over two million issues in 1948.
