About the event

The climate crisis will deprive millions of people of their livelihood. Even today, people are attempting to adapt through migration and to re-build an existence. Most of the climate migrants find refuge in their own countries so far, but the pressure put on Europe’s borders will increase when the efforts to combat climate change fall short.

In her ground-breaking book, substantiated by research and worldwide scientific enquiry, Kira Vinke provides those affected with a face and voice. She points out clearly which changes are irreversible already today – and what options we still have to combat climate change and to enable those affected to stay or to migrate safely and humanely.

The event is being held in cooperation with Deutscher Taschenbuchverlag (dtv).

Moderation: Roman Deininger (SZ)
