About the event
The tech giants’ challenge of the state
There have been voices, not only since the takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk, warning of the growing importance of individual digital enterprises and their effects on democracies. Due to the increasing relevance of digitization, the authors Moritz Holzgraefe and Nils Ole Oermann have looked into the resulting power conflicts between states and platforms. They point out where there are tensions between the two spheres and draw up solutions for the future.
Moderation: Bernd Oswald (Netzjournalist, Bayerischer Rundfunk)
In cooperation with the Herder Verlag
