About the conference

The aim of the national research data infrastructure (NFDI) is to systematically manage scientific and research data, provide long-term data storage, backup and accessibility, and network the data both nationally and internationally. In a process driven by scholarship, it is developed in the form of a networked structure of consortia acting at their own initiative. The consortium NFDI4Memory currently being founded connects representatives of all fields of specialisation who avail themselves of historical methods or who work with data which need to be put into a historical context.

On 27 March 2020, the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek and the Deutsches Museum organise a community meeting of this consortium, which offers an opportunity to discuss demands and concerns with representatives of the consortium and to speak about possible participation in and co-designing of NDFI4Memory. At the same time, the meeting is an opportunity to obtain general information about NFDI and NFDI4Memory.
