Postcard collection of Gerhard Brack

The journalist Gerhard Brack (born in 1969) works as a freelance journalist for the public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk.

The focus of his postcard collection is on images of Munich, which are complemented by photos of other places in Bavaria. In addition to historical views, there are postcards on political and other events and pictures of important persons. The collection comprises over 2,600 objects from the time between 1892 and 2021.

Brack gave his collection of historical postcards to the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek as a present in 2021 and 2022. It has been catalogued in the form of lists.
