The "Alphabetischer Realkatalog", alphabetical classified catalogue (1501 – 1856), the oldest large alphabetical subject catalogue of the world, with around 84,000 titles from the old stocks of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (articles as well). The catalogue takes account of the subjects of historical science, philosophy, mathematics, sciences and medicine in particular. Register

Register of the alphabetical subject catalogue 1501 – 1952: The subject catalogue is subdivided into three parts, a topographic part, a historical part and an art catalogue. On the subject of Bavaria, also articles were registered from 1916 to 1952.
