Around 10,000 volumes from the reference library on Eastern Europe (Hbost), which is currently located on the third level of the General Reading Room, will be removed from the reading room starting on 11 September 2017 and subjected to deacidification treatment by a third-party service provider within the framework of a collection conservation project.

The measure will presumably be concluded by mid-November, with the volumes again being available for consultation in the reading room without limitation afterwards.
