Byzantine bibliography now available online as well

Constituting the single existing specialist bibliography for all disciplines of Byzantine studies, the Byzantine bibliography is an indispensable and unrivalled tool for all Byzantinists, historians, medievalists, theologians and Greek scholars. The data stock has now been made accessible online as well for the first time.

The Byzantine bibliography online contains the bibliographic section of the "Byzantinische Zeitschrift" starting with volume 98 (2005) up to the present. It comprises a total of around 30,000 entries. Around 4,000 entries are added annually.

The user interface provides comfortable access to the bibliographic data and diverse search options using a variety of search criteria. The entries have been indexed systematically in accordance with subject groups and complemented by abstracts and indications of reviews.

The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek has acquired a license for the database a short while ago.
