WLAN provision at the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek

In recent weeks, a number of problems unfortunately have occurred with respect to the provision of the BayernWLAN at the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek. We are sorry for these failures and limitations of service. For providing the BayernWLAN, the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek uses the infrastructure of the network Münchner Wissenschaftsnetz, and is therefore not in a position to interfere with the network's operation or the repair of technical defects.

Two incidents have occurred in the course of the past weeks at the transition from the Münchner Wissenschaftsnetz to the provider for the BayernWLAN that were not detected by the automated detection system for malfunctions there. For this reason, the malfunctions remained undetected and accordingly unremedied for a longer time than usual. Measures have been taken to solve the problem. We hope that uninterrupted access to the BayernWLAN can be provided again soon.
