Congratulations on successfully concluding the FaMI training!

We are pleased to welcome 39 new colleagues, who have concluded their FaMI training recently. At the certificate presentation in the Fürstensaal of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek on 22 July they celebrated their graduation as specialists for media and information services (Fachangestelle/Fachangesteller für Medien- und Informationsdienste, FaMI) in the field of librarianship.

The FaMIs came to Munich from everywhere in Bavaria, together with their families, friends and training supervisors.

  • The FaMI training is currently offered at 94 libraries in Bavaria, for example municipal and city libraries, college and university libraries.
  • Training positions for starting training in September 2025 will be advertised as of late summer/autumn 2024.
