Russia Presidential Election 2018 – Election campaign materials on the presidential election in Russia of 2018 accessible Germany-wide

Political scientists and historians in the field of eastern-European studies in Germany can look forward to free-of-charge access to the new database "Russia Presidential Election 2018", for which a license has been acquired recently within the scope of the Specialised Information Service for Russian, East and Southeast European Studies.

Purchased with the support of the German Research Foundation, the database contains materials which document the election comprehensively; there are, among other documents:

  • Materials of the central election committee, including information on the organisation of the election, minutes and data collected in connection with the election
  • Extensive information on all registered and rejected candidates, including their manifestos and numerous ephemera, such as posters, flyers, photographs, press articles or financial status reports
  • Advance information and reports by the election observers of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe)

All documents are available in the PDF format, can be searched using the Cyrillic writing or the Anglo-Saxon transliteration and can be downloaded as well. An additional browsing function permits efficient search, classified by the categories content, source and type of object.
