Music and dance in the arts – Relaunch of the German RIdIM website

The website of the German office of the Répertoire Internationale d’Iconographie Musicale (RIdIM) will be accessible at the new address ridim.musiconn.de as of 26 April 2021. Prior to this, the website and the search application for “Music and dance in the arts" were modernised with respect to their design and functionality.

With the relaunch, the entire stock of digital data has been made available, including around 20,900 descriptions of music-iconographic representations of objects from the arts and craftsmanship, as well as around 4,100 images. Links to objects in online collections of museums and libraries expand the bandwidth of object images.

The website has now also been adapted for portable terminals; the search function offers extended search options and links to authority data of the Integrated Authority File (GND) and the Virtual International Authority File (VIAF).
