musiconn.scoresearch is online – explore the works of famous composers via a musical fulltext search

With musiconn.scoresearch you can search for melodies in the digitized complete editions of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek of Beethoven, Händel, Liszt and Schubert based on the output of an OMR program ("optical music recognition"). This application has been developed by the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek within the project Specialised Information Service for Musicology (musiconn) and enables you to directly search in the music of these four famous composers.

You can enter your search via a virtual piano keyboard using the mouse or the keyboard:
Does Händel, for example, quote himself here?

The output of the OMR program has not been verified and is therefore not error-free. musiconn.scoresearch is a prototypical application, and you are welcome to send us your feedback via e-mail.
