The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek preserves the library of Hartmann Schedel (1440 – 1514) and his personal copy of the work (BSB call number: Rar. 287), which came to the court library founded in 1558 as part of the collection of Johann Jakob Fugger (1516 – 1575), thus forming part of the collection at the time of foundation.

The collection of Wolf von Lojewski is special to the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek and complements its holdings of rare printed works in an extraordinary way.
