Users do not need to have a reader account, but can connect directly via @BayernWLAN with one of the numerous hotspots provided by the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek in cooperation with the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre.

BayernWLAN is an initiative of the Bavarian Ministry of Finance, Land Development and Heritage, which has 20,000 new hotspots installed throughout Bavaria up to the year 2020, to become the "first German Land with its own comprehensive WLAN".

In addition, the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek continues offering all users with a valid reader pass to log into the Internet via the library's own WLAN following registration.
