The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek holds world-famous works of the written cultural heritage of mankind, which can be shown in exhibitions only infrequently, however. Among these works are for example the manuscript A of the Song of the Nibelungs, the eight-volume Ottheinrich Bible, a specimen of the Gutenberg Bible and of Schedel's World Chronicle, the oldest manuscript of the Babylonian Talmud or "Parzival" by Wolfram von Eschenbach.
In the new 2.0 version of the app, which is available free of charge in both German and English, the digital treasures are shown in a new visual design, in an even clearer arrangement and at a resolution of 300 dpi. The new layout follows the principles of flat design. It adjusts optimally to different display sizes.
