General Administration

The Department General Administration (Zentrale Administration, ZA) as a shared service department supports the library's specialised departments and the users with various services. It is responsible for the fields of finance and budget, human resources, internal services, construction and operation, organisation.

The ZA ensures that the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek obtains the personnel and financial resources required for fulfilling its tasks. It acts as the HR department for the around 950 employees of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek and of the ten regional State Libraries and administrates the budget.

At the same time, the ZA ensures infrastructure services for the locations in Munich and its surroundings.
