ViFaMusik - Virtual Subject Library Musicology
Information Portal for Music and MusicologyViFaMusik, the central information portal for music and musicology, offers comprehensive and fast access to scientific research and to a plethora of information on the subject and Internet resources.
The portal allows a simultaneous search of a multitude of catalogues and databases, which in addition to bibliographic data also contain information about scientists and research projects as well as about current events and meetings.
The ViFaMusik is a project fostered by the Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft (DFG - German Research Society). It has been developed and continuously expanded since July 2005 in a two-year start-up phase. It is located at the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek and built up in cooperation with the
Berlin (State Institute for Music Research) and the Gesellschaft für Musikforschung (Society for Music Research).
