The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek has set up subject portals for its  areas of collection emphasis. The goal is to provide the user with a uniform, comfortable access to scholarly information sources of all types for each subject area. The portals are developed and supplemented within the framework of cooperation projects with research institutions of the respective subject areas and with the financial support of the German Research Foundation and the Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts.
