The science portal b2i is an Internet portal offering subject-related information for the complete area of book studies, library and information sciences . A meta search simultaneously enables the user to search a plurality of sources - such as Internet sources of controlled quality, relevant subject databases, reliable factual information and catalogues. A successful search leads directly to a catalogue entry with availability status, with the option of direct document provision (in the case of information sources available in digital form), or a list of home lending, interlibrary lending and document delivery services.
