Kindly return the loaned books in due time, i.e. at the latest on the last day of the loan period, to the book-return counter on the ground floor. In case you require a receipt, please inform the employee at the return counter accordingly - before the return is booked. Otherwise no receipt can be issued for technical reasons.

 

In case you cannot return the loaned books in person you can also send them back to the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek by mail.

Please note that the loan period must be observed also when returning items by post. Accordingly, you should allow for several days for mail transport. You are liable for the possible loss or damage of the book. We therefore recommend sending the books as an insured parcel. The costs incurred in returning the books by post are at your expense. The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek does not accept carriage-forward deliveries.
