The goal of the project is to create an open-access repository for selected publications by the over 300 German scholars who were awarded the renowned Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Award by the DFG since 1986.
In a first step the project concentrates on the feedback so far by the award-winners of the years 1986 to 2005 who were contacted by the DFG during the planning phase of the project and asked in each case to list ten of their most important publications. During the first project phase the focus is on clarifying copyright issues related to these publications, which are to be made available preferably in the published form in open access via the portal. The second project phase serves to establish a corresponding repository with differentiated search options for the titles that can be included after the clarification of rights. After publishing the repository online it will be attempted to win over the remaining award-winners not yet involved to also take part in the project.
