Guiderom is a collection of Internet resources relating to France and Italy regarding the following areas: language, literature, history, politics and society. Additionally general Romance studies and Occitanian studies are taken account of.

 

The holdings already comprise over 7,600 sources. The collection has been set up and is continually expanded by the  libraries responsible for the  Virtual Subject Library Romanic Cultural Area with the support of the DFG.

 

In the collection such sources are considered which are scholarly relevant and freely accessible. They undergo formal and subject cataloguing, thereby making possible both systematic search and field search. The collection can be searched together with further data collections of similar subject profile using the  meta search of the Virtual Subject Library Romanic Cultural Area.
