Internet Access in the Reading Rooms

Recently our Internet access facilities have unfortunately been abused increasingly.

Therefore, the Internet access at the PCs in all the reading rooms of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek can now be used only on the condition of a prior personal registration.

This means that for using an Internet access, you need to be a registered user of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek.
It is sufficient to obtain a reader pass, which you also need for ordering items in the OPACplus.

You can request a reader pass
  • at counter no. 3 of the Lesesaalleihe (Issue and Return Desk) (open Mon - Fri 9.00 - 17.00),
  • or at the Zulassung (Registration Office) on the ground floor (open Mon - Fri 10.00 - 19.00).
Together with your reader pass you will receive a user number and a password, both of which are needed for enabling the Internet access.

Please note that no reader passes are issued on Saturdays and Sundays.
