Within the framework of this project the illustrations of some selected incunabula are made available by the Munich Digitization Center in the form of a digital collection with search functions for image topics. Digital copies are prepared of the originals of 6377 illustrations contained in 76 incunabula mostly in the German language, held by the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek. The majority of images are black and white, but there are also numerous coloured xylographs among the illustrations. The digital copies are searchable in the  Catalogue of Incunabula of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek.
