To achieve a sustainable improvement of the supply of electronic subject-related information to German universities, research facilities and academic libraries, the  German Research Foundation has been financing the purchase of national licenses since 2004. The national license project adds digital media to the programme of supra-regional literature supply within the framework of theSpecial Subject Fields Programme of the German Research Foundation.

 

The aim of the project is to offer scholars, students and academically interested private persons the option to access databases, digital text collection and electronic journals free of charge.
