From 2 October to 17 December 2002, the Bavarian State Library presents the exhibition Der Giftschrank. "Remota": Die weggesperrten Bücher der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek (Remota. Peeping into the Poison Cabinet).

The Bible which belonged to Elector Ottheinrich is the first illustrated manuscript of the New Testament in German and was written around 1430, almost 100 years before the seminal Bible translation by Martin Luther.
