The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek presents the exhibition AußenAnsichten. Buch-einbände aus tausend Jahren in its Treasure Room from 28 August until 15 December 2006. Objects dating from the Carolingian Era up to the 20th century will be displayed. The show comprises c. 100 exhibits and illustrates a representative sample of the Library’s collection of historical bookbindings.
