The catalogues and databases listed in this section contain literature on all subject areas.
- OPACplus
Provides access to both the central online catalogue of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek – featuring current availability verification and direct online order facilities – and to the Bavarian Union Catalogue – offering online interlibrary loan facilities.
- Datenbank-Infosystem (DBIS) (Database Information System)
DBIS provides access to a great number of databases on all subject areas for literature searches (also including articles). Also full texts and facts may be retrieved.
- Electronic Journals Library (EZB)
The EZB contains comprehensive information on all electronic journals for which the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek has full-text access authorisation.
- E-Books
Electronic books are catalogued and indexed in the OPACplus. Owing to circumstances, titles of newly acquired collections are sometimes entered in the catalogue with a certain delay. The e-book collections can also be searched in the Database Information System (Datenbank-Infosystem, DBIS).
- Gateway Bayern (Gateway Bavaria)
The Gateway Bayern enables you to search the union catalogue of all networked Bavarian libraries and a multitude of further international resources.
- Karlsruher Virtueller Katalog (KVK) (Karlsruhe Virtual Catalogue)
The KVK is a meta search engine containing the bibliographic data of more than 100 million books and periodicals in library and booksellers' catalogues on a world-wide scale (also featuring holdings information for the German libraries).
- ZDB (Periodicals Database)
The ZDB is the world's largest database for title- and holdings records of regularly published serials, i.e. periodicals, newspapers, etc.
